Welcome to the documentation for the EuroHPC Federation Platform (EFP) — a unified platform designed to simplify access to Europe's world-class supercomputing and quantum computing infrastructure.
The EFP addresses the complexity arising from the diverse operational models across EuroHPC Hosting Entities by providing federated services for authentication, resource allocation, workflow management, and user support. By building on the strengths of heterogeneous systems deployed throughout the EU Member States, the platform ensures that researchers, industry users, and public sector organizations can seamlessly leverage the distinctive capabilities of each supercomputing centre.
What this documentation covers
This documentation provides guidance for end-users — learn how to access EuroHPC resources through MyEuroHPC, manage allocations, run workloads across federated systems and many other actions.
Key components
The EFP consists of several integrated services:
- MyEuroHPC — The central web interface serving as the entry point to EuroHPC systems
- Federated AAI — Single sign-on authentication integrated with MyAccessID
- Direct SSH access — SSH certificate-based access integrated with MyAccessID SSO
- Interactive access — Web-based interactive computing through a dedicated OpenOnDemand interface
- Allocations — Resource allocation, monitoring, and management across Hosting Entities
- Workflow orchestration — Distributed data and workflow management through web GUI and APIs based on the LEXIS Platform
- Federated software stack — Consistent software environments across federated systems
- Support — Centralized user support

Access and integrated systems
To access and utilize the EuroHPC Federation platform you need to have a new project granted on an integrated EuroHPC system. Existing projects will currently not be visible via the EuroHPC Federation Platform.
Currently the following EuroHPC systems are connected to the EFP:
- LUMI
- HPC Vega
- Karolina
- Deucalion
- Discoverer
- MeluXina
Applying for resources via the EuroHPC JU peer review portal on any of the previously listed systems will grant the project access to the EFP.
The rest of the currently online EuroHPC systems are in the process of being connected
- Leonardo
- MareNostrum 5
- JUPITER
